Introducing Seneco
Our company was founded 2014 in Århus, Denmark, based on the insight that a vast number of street lighting luminaires around the globe remain lit during the dark hours regardless of whether there is an actual need or not.
The obvious waste of energy combined with the environmental impact was, and still are, the main drivers for the company. Since then we have had a strong commitment to research and innovation to develop smart lighting systems that is improving the quality of life of people while reducing the impact on the planet.
Our mission to spread a sustainable light will never be finished. Our commitment to municipalities, installers, operators, luminaire manufacturers and citizens is constant and we will always work towards a brighter future.
We shape innovation
Seneco was founded on the idea of shaping a brighter and more sustainable future. Based on the importance of energy saving in terms of reducing the carbon footprint and global warming problems, smart street lighting systems are an essential component of innovative city initiatives, setting the stage for a more sustainable urban future. That is why energy efficiency, longevity and adaptability is our big focus.
So how is this possible? We create the conditions for the right light at the right time. By using sensors to detect presence and with wireless communication between the luminaries it is possible to adapt and optimize the lighting in an area. Citygrid enables you to tailor the atmosphere in a space and monitor the lighting's energy efficiency.
By adapting and optimizing the lighting it is also possible to save energy and to make the streets feel safer. With a connection to Citygrid portal you can optimize energy consumption further and to get an overview of the maintenance.
