The Citygrid App is the controller and gateway commissioning tool and the first interface between installer and the Citygrid units. Add the Citygrid controllers and gateways to a site, edit the controller configurations, and make firmware updates.
The Citygrid app enables fast and easy commissioning of Citygrid controllers and gateways.
Commissioning a Citygrid controller or gateway locks it to a specific site and makes it visible in the Citygrid Portal. Sites can be created in the Citygrid App under existing projects and a project can have many sites.
Once a unit has been commissioned to a site it is instantly visible in the Citygrid Portal. Any changes made using the Citygrid App are updated in the Portal as well.
The commissioning of Citygrid units are done on site using the Citygrid App and Citygrid Dongle. The Citygrid app connects to the Citygrid Dongle and the Dongle communicates with Citygrid controller or gateway. Uncommissioned Citygrid units appear in the app, and can then be selected and added to the site one by one.
The Citygrid App is only accessible with a customer log in with editorial permissions.
When a Citrygrid controller or gateway has been commissioned, the location of the unit can be adjusted and the units configurations can be edited. Edit one or groups of luminaires at a time. Use custom configurations or choose between the predefined lighting scenarios.

Create new sites or choose an existing one in the desired project. These are the sites you will then view in the Citygrid Portal.
Search for controllers in the area, select from a list of reachable units and place on the site map. When selecting a unit it indicates by blinking, so that you know you've selected the right one.
Edit and distribute the controller configurations. For Gateway connected sites the configurations can be done from the Citygrid Portal once the controller is added to a site.
Improvements and added functionallities are continously released. Update your units to the newest firmware on site using the Citygrid App or remotely for Gateway connected sites.

To use the Citygrid App you need to connect to a Citygrid Dongle. All communication from the App then passes through the Dongle.
While the Citygrid App and Portal both provides access to a map overview and unit configurations, the units can only be added, located and removed using the Citygrid App. Site and unit consumption/motion data is only viewable in the Citygrid Portal for Gateway connected sites.
